Check out this video from CBS News, and watch how Palin flounders without her teleprompter and coaches. My favorite part is when Couric hits her three times with the same question: Give me examples of where John McCain has shown himself to be a reformer. The first two times Palin obfuscates with scripted responses: "Maverick, track record, leadership, blah blah blah. The third and final time, she admits she's got nothing and will "Try to find ya some and bring 'em to ya."
Qualified? Please.
Also, it's worth looking at the comments section on CBSnews.com. The few supporters that chime in are mostly saying things like "Oh that Katie Couric, she's being unfair, she's so mean to Sarah!" Yeah, like Kim Jong Il and Dmitry Medvedev are going to be fair with her.
I TRIED...really TRIED to watch all of this and got through about four minutes. I thought W was cringe-worthy, but at least he's trying to say SOMETHING. She, on the other hand is kind of like how Biden described Guliani's campaign.
Noun+Verb+9/11.
This won't actually change my voting plan. That hasn't changed since February, but watching Republicans tie themsleves in knots to try and justify this woman is entertaining.
It TERRIFIES me that this is the sort of mind elected to powerful positions in our nation...
This has the look and feel of somebody who is trying to bullshit their way through an interview for a job for which they are grossly underqualified.
