Since last Wednesday, I've pencilled six, almost seven pages. I'm getting a little weary of pencilling; think I'll take a break and ink for a while. Pencilling's difficult. Inking and painting are much easier on the brains.
So will the new novel be all pen-and-ink work? As I recall, the first one was all painted because you thought your inking sucked (which I disagree with, based on your pen-and-inks that I've seen!). Or is the new novel a mixture of both?
Whatever the medium, looking forward to it immensely!
Hey, Patrick. Thanks for the post, and the compliments!
The new book will look very similar to the epliogue of the old book -- I'm painting the inks after I finish them. Inking with ink and a brush is much, much faster than laying down the same lines with acrylic paint, which is what I had been doing in the past. Just one more way to streamline things!
